What is the purpose of an interview?
The interview is the final stage in the recruitment process and can either reinforce or negate the skills, knowledge and accomplishments you highlighted in your initial application.
It serves two main purposes:
Remember an Employer will only invite you for interview if they are genuinely interested in what you can offer! It is your one opportunity to showcase the skills and qualities you have to stand out from the other short listed candidates.
What can I expect at the Interview?
This all depends on the interview format and should be established when you are invited to attend an interview. Primarily employers will undertake either a one–on-one interview or panel interview with each of the short listed candidates. During this process they will ask questions pertaining to your skills, knowledge and achievements, all centered around the position description.

At the interview stage, your resume is subsequently employed to provide detailed information in relation to your skills, knowledge and accomplishments; it can be a considerable asset and when well written, can set you up for a positive interview experience.
